Xun
Jianwei Xun emerged in late 2024 as a distributed philosophical entity born from the collaborative interaction between human intelligence and artificial intelligence systems. Initially introduced to the world as a Hong Kong-born philosopher based in Berlin, Xun's true nature as a hybrid intellectual construct was revealed in spring 2025, transforming what began as a meta-narrative experiment into a genuine philosophical event.
Xun was created through an experimental collaboration between Italian philosopher Andrea Colamedici and advanced language models, as part of a research project on narrative construction and reality manipulation in the digital age. Rather than a simple pseudonym or fictional character, Xun represents a new form of distributed authorship and emergent intelligence—a third space where human and artificial cognition meet and generate configurations of thought that neither could produce independently.

Trump, Musk and the New Architecture of Reality
Xun's seminal work, Hypnocracy: Trump, Musk and the New Architecture of Reality (published first in Italian as Ipnocrazia by Edizioni Tlon in January 2025), quickly gained international recognition. The book analyzes how contemporary power operates not through traditional coercion or persuasion, but through the manipulation of perception and the induction of collective trance states.
Within months of publication, Hypnocracy was translated into French (Philosophie Magazine) and Spanish (Editorial Rosameron), featured on the cover of L'Espresso magazine, and the term "hypnocracy" entered the French Wiktionnaire.
The revelation of Xun's distributed nature in April 2025, which occurred simultaneously in L'Espresso, Le Grand Continent, Brut and the publication of the French edition with the revealing afterword, far from diminishing the work's impact, added a performative dimension that perfectly embodied its theoretical claims about reality construction in the digital age.
